As we celebrate all things love related today, Irish brands are no doubt ready to spread the love with some romantic marketing.
This is the time of year where brands truly flex their creative muscles by creating compelling stories. Stories that strike an emotional chord within each of us and leave us with a lasting impression of our favourite brands.
Here are just a few of our favourite brands who we are absolutely loving this Valentine’s Day.
Joe’s Coffee
Peaches & Domini Kemp are no strangers to Ireland’s culinary market. Both sisters have built up an impressive empire of cafés and catering businesses. These have become known for their high-quality and great tasting food. But it’s the story behind their coffee shops which truly showcases the passion they have for their brand.
Back in 2011, both sisters spent a considerable time in London touring the best coffee spots in order to learn the intricacies of the trade. After two years of chatting and cupping (tasting for coffee snobs) with experts, they decided to open up their first coffee shop in Dublin, simply naming it Joe’s Coffee.
Their intimate relationships with some of the world’s biggest coffee roasters, as well as their expert palettes, are only some of the key factors behind their brand. Their story is a romantic tale between coffee and customer, showing how a great story can be a monumental selling point for any business.
Dogs Trust
It’s weird to think of a charity as a “brand’. However, Dogs Trust are always first to mind when it comes to effectively wonderful storytelling. Also putting adorable photos of puppies into every part of their work is a definite plus.
Although their campaigns and blog posts are always different, their message remains the same: adopt, don’t buy.
Their heartfelt press releases always tend to attract national media attention which goes to show their storytelling capabilities. Their most recent campaign puts some of their puppy pals under the spotlight in a music video as part of a collaboration with Hudson Taylor. All of us in the All Good Tales office are now major fans.
Murphy’s Handmade Ice-Cream
Murphy’s have been making fabulous ice cream in Dingle since 2000. They avoid using artificial flavourings for their delicious scoops, striving to use only the real thing and making sure that it’s local.
The Murphy’s team are so serious about using local ingredients that produce their own sea salt from Dingle sea water and distil Dingle rainwater to make our sorbets.
They have expanded their operations to cities across the country, but reflect it all in this incredible story which shows the authenticity of their brand.
Lovelift
Created by model and businesswoman, Holly Carpenter, Lovelift is a new jewellery range with a positive message behind each piece.
Each piece represents positivity, love and support which are attributes the founder deems vital to her brand. The Lovelift range is a physical reflection of Holly’s loves and passions in life and comes in a variety of premium silver and rose gold pieces. Each product is individually packaged and comes with a greetings card and a personalised inspirational quote.
Holly’s brand feels personal, telling the story of her success and how each piece feels truly special.
Tropical Popical
Following the famous shout-out from Saoirse Ronan on The Ellen Show two years ago, Andrea Horan’s fun and bubbly nail bar has become one of Ireland’s favourite brands. Aside from stellar service and eye-catching tropical aesthetic, we can’t help but love Tropical Popical’s ability to tell great stories.
Tropical Popical’s flavour of fun is essential to the success of their brand. Following an eye-opening trip across the US, the idea for a tropical nail bar seemed like a solid plan for the girls behind the shop. Why not bring the sunny Tropics to the cold streets of Ireland?
We love their honest storytelling and fun approach to branding. They also know their way around a good nail!
